Akari 70XL is a long rectangular noguchi ceiling lamp the Japanese paper lamp shade measures 27 x 9 x 9 inch in size. The Noguchi shade design is a long rectangular lamp shape handmade with the Japanese washi paper and bamboo ribbing.

The Akari 70XL rectangular ceiling lamp sculptures are handmade in Gifu, Japan the paper lanterns are a harmonious blend of Japanese handcraft and modernist design form. Designed by Noguchi in the 1950's this classic round medium sizes ceiling pendant lamps are icons of modern design.

The 70XL rectangular ceiling lamps are available with a hard wire kit to connect to ceiling junction box, or a plug in kit with a swag kit that plugs into the wall. Akari lamp shades are designed by Isamu Noguchi - Made in Gifu, Japan

Disclaimer: The term Akari means soft natural light in Japanese. The world-renowned artist Isamu Noguchi popularized the term Akari by his prolific designs, and collaborative works in the 1950s. All of our products are manufactured by sole Manufacturer Ozeki in Japan, are authentic and have a factory placed stamp of the "Half Moon Design" and the designer "signature" stamped on the shade. All lamp shades are available with an optional 120V US ceiling wire kit or wall plug in kits. Wire kits are pending ETL approval.

Under the first sale doctrine, we serve and sell fine Asian and European lighting products in North America. We are not an authorized seller. Our products are independently bought from Japan and packaged with english installation instructions. They are legally resold to happy and sophisticated customers that appreciate the difference.
